I read this quote in the morning:
Throw me to the lions, and I will return the queen!
Now this sounds wrong on so many levels.
Let’s start from the beginning.
There are many lions in the jungle. One of them is probably the King of the jungle. And that King most probably has a Queen too.
So are you saying that if we throw you to the lions, you will destroy The King’s family, drive his queen away or kill her or something like that, woo that lion, seduce him or whatever it is and then return the Queen of the Jungle?
Isn’t that something that should be against the code of ethics?
Or, are you saying you will do something like what Scar did in “The Lion King”? Betrayal and back-stabbing!
One could have said that “… I will return leading the pride”. That would have sounded acceptable.
I know some of you will lose their shit and try to make a sense out of it for me. But trust me, it really won’t be of any use. But you should try! You never know.
P.S. Always expect the worst, and you will never be disappointed.

Yeesh, how not to live. Maybe we’d be returned to the queen in pieces. Or be in the queen herself, digested!

I think the quote is figurative not literal. It simply means, I will overcome obstacles. The won’t break me. The will make me stronger.

I love that quote ❤️
It is a metaphor ❤️
Ngosi has it correct…
they are saying they can survive the pain of being thrown to the lions, and yet will come back even stronger
😘✌️
